Fertility Nurse

In April 2014 we opened our state-of-the-art Centre offering fertility and gynaecology services at Daresbury Park in Cheshire. The Centre offers patients the highest level of personalised care, latest technology and support throughout their fertility journey.

We are seeking a  Fertility Nurse to join our friendly team  of nurses, HCA’s and care-coordinator and ODP in our state of the art Fertility clinic in Daresbury. We offer both Fertility and Gynaecology services  and can provide  a seamless  journey for our patients from diagnosis to treatment. You will  work as part of the team  but also be able to work without supervision and offer support, supervision and teaching to junior members of staff. This is a Full Time position and will include occasional weekend work on a rotational basis.

Key Responsibilities & Objectives

• Assist in the daily running of the fertility clinic, co-ordinating treatment cycles
• Continue with own personal and professional development
• Assist with the continuing development of evidence-based clinical protocols
• Assisting  the consultant in theatre for  egg collection/ gynecology
• procedures
• Assist with Ward recovery duties
• Assist with stock control- maintaing and  ordering  in a timely manner
• Teach patients to self- administer fertility drugs
• Perform auidits when required
• Assist with quality and risk management within the nursing department systems
• High level of accuracy and attention to details, able to analyse problems and take initiative in problem-solving
• Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing support to patients and colleagues across all functions and roles
• Work closely with the team and the consultants to ensure that the care of each patient is coordinated to maximize their outcomes.

The successful candidate must have the right to live and work in the UK.
