The clinic was established in 1979 and formerly known as The Advanced Training and Research in Fertility Management Unit. The Clinic was founded under the directorship of Professor the Honourable Hugh Wynter. As part of The University of the West Indies 60th anniversary the clinic was renamed.
The clinic has focused on four main components Research, Training, Outreach and Clinical Services. As part of the Clinical Services, Assisted Reproductive Technology has been offered since 2000. We were the second in the region to do so .Today under the leadership of Professor Joseph Frederick, CD the clinic is under the threshold of further development.
We offer treatment to our nationals as well as a smaller population of foreign clientele from the islands such as Cayman Belize, Turks and Caicos as well as USA,UK and Canada.
