An exciting career advancement opportunity has opened up for an experienced embryologist to join our IVF clinic in Sydney in the position of IVF Laboratory Manager or Lab Supervisor. 

The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, be a team player, able to work independently and have good attention to detail. 

This is an exciting opportunity will give the candidate plenty of scope for personal development benefiting from working closely with scientists from other clinics and throughout the national network.

The role is full time, and will require participation in weekend work and some travel. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of laboratory employees and practices, including embryology, andrology and patient liaison.

City Fertility Centre’s Laboratories are accredited for compliance with NPAAC Standards and ISO 15189 (for Semen Analysis).

We are looking for candidates who possess the following Experience and Technical Skills:
 

  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in a clinical embryology/andrology laboratory
  • Demonstrated ability in performance management, mentoring and training in a lab environment
  • Ability to manage the day to day running of the embryology/andrology laboratory and additional laboratory responsibilities.
  • Ability to lead with sound knowledge and experience in team building
  • Excellent working knowledge of quality management systems
  • Excellent scientific knowledge of reproductive biology
  • Embryo biopsy experience preferred
  • Ability to troubleshoot and provide scope for continuous improvement.
  • A focus on providing exceptional patient care
  • Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of work
  • A passion for reproductive science
  • Must hold a current driver's license or capacity to get an Australian driver’s license.
  • CFC will support and coordinate a Visa application process, if required.

Experience Required:  The post is ideally suited to candidates with at least 3 years clinical and ICSI experience and ideally proficient in embryo biopsy, who wish to expand on their clinical experience and take on specific areas of responsibility.
Education Required:  Bachelor of Science. Post grad preferred ICSI competent / weekend competent / Supervisory Skills / Biopsy preferred
Salary:  Negotiable
