 Profile and objectives
I am a Biochemists with a MSc Clinical Embryology and Assisted Reproduction Technologies looking for a Trainee Embryologis/Reproductive Technologistor or similar position. Due to my past experience in the field, I have good communication, teamwork and laboratory skills. My goal is to become a Clinical Embryologist.
  Main resume

I have always wanted to pursue a patient oriented career in which I can help people with my abilities. I am passionate about cell and reproductive biology and I find Assisted Reproduction a very rewarding field in which you see the impact of all your work and effort translated in the achievement of a pregnancy and live birth. Due to all this, I am looking for a position as a Trainee Embryologist, Reproductive Technologist or Reproductive Science Practitioner.

I have just finished my master’s degree in Clinical Embryology and Assisted Reproduction Technologies at the University of Leeds. My studies and my previous experience in the Assisted Reproduction laboratory have provided me with relevant laboratory skills such as aseptic technique, microscopy, and sperm, oocyte and embryo handling. As a trainee embryologist at two important fertility clinics in Spain I assisted the senior embryologists on daily routine duties such as preparation of dishes, record keeping, sperm preparation, assessment and freezing, and COC collection. Moreover, during my masters I have been trained in different reproductive technologies with bovine and mouse samples and I have also been trained in research methods, which has helped me develop analytical and judgemental skills. I also have good knowledge of the different reproductive technologies that are applicable in the UK, the current legislation and regulations, and the HFEA Code of Practice.

During my previous work as an editor in online magazines related to the fertility and Assisted Reproduction field, I was able to further develop my communication skills, better understand the doubts that patients find regarding IVF and improve the ability to explain medical terms in ways they understand. These are very useful skills, as they can help reduce the anxiety patients experience due to their treatment. Also, during my master studies, I have proven to have good oral and written communication skills and, according to my mentors and colleagues, I have good planning and organisational skills, I am detail-oriented, meticulous, methodical, focused and I work great both individually and as part of a team.

While I was working in the Assisted Reproduction laboratory, I realised that the field is in constant change and improvement and how important it is to give the very best of yourself, to perform the procedures on the highest standards and conduct research to improve the available techniques and develop new ones. Therefore, this are my main professional goals. I intend to provide my knowledge, skills and effort for the benefit of the team of professionals I work with and the patients in my professional career.
