MSc Reproductive and Developmental Medicine

Reproductive and developmental medicine covers the biological, clinical and social issues surrounding fertility, pregnancy, prenatal development and childbirth.

Our Reproductive and Developmental Medicine course explores the fundamentals of reproductive science and its clinical applications. It covers the full breadth of reproductive processes including genetics and gonadal development, the production of gametes and embryo development, through to pregnancy and labour.

You’ll gain an understanding of the disorders which can affect fertility, foetal development and pregnancy, and the current treatments on offer. You’ll also explore social perspectives and the ethical and legal debates around reproductive medicine.

Experts teach each module in the field, including clinicians, embryologists, reproductive counsellors, genetic testing specialists and scientists.

Requirements:
You'll need a minimum of a 2:1 (or equivalent for non-UK students) in a relevant life science undergraduate degree. A 2:2 may be acceptable depending on past achievements. Medical students can apply after completing 3 years of their degree.
