We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as a Lecturer in Reproductive Medicine(non clinical) within our Reproductive Medicine Group. The candidate would make a significant contribution to our teaching, research and academic development.

We run a successful Taught Postgraduate Masters course in Human Clinical Embryology and Assisted Conception and the appointed candidate, as Programme Director, will make a significant contribution to teaching and the academic development of the course. Moreover, the candidate will be expected to develop short courses in Reproductive Medicine/ART and develop distance learning Certificate/Diploma/Masters programmes.

Your priorities will include:

  • Lead the Taught Postgraduate Masters in Human Clinical Embryology and Assisted Conception, initiating and overseeing curriculum development and take responsibility for assessment.
  • Develop short courses in Reproductive Medicine/ART and a distance learning Certificate/Diploma/Masters courses.
  • Supervise Research, Masters and Undergraduate students and contribute to the School's academic and pastoral support of all students.
  • Contribute to the research activities of Medicine at the highest level (REF 3-4* quality) and publish in high quality research journals.
  • Participate in the social media, outreach and recruitment activities of the School as well as contributing to academic administration.

Who we’re looking for:

  • PhD in Reproductive Medicine/Reproductive Biology.
  • Experience of teaching at University (or equivalent) level and evidence of learning and teaching competence.
  • Ability to produce research outputs of internationally excellent quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability and willingness to work collaboratively with others.
  • Ability to prioritise and balance competing demands.
