CREATE Fertility is among the fastest-growing IVF companies in the UK, and we are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Laboratory Manager to lead our dedicated laboratory team.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Laboratory Manager in our latest hub in Leeds. The post holder will manage the embryology, andrology and biochemistry laboratories within the hub.

The post holder is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance within all laboratories and elevating any areas of non-compliance to the person responsible. The post holder will assist in the supervision and training of new members of staff, students and visitors and also participate in research and service development. The post holder will contribute to creating a positive working environment within the laboratory team that supports development, improvement and change.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Laboratory Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth functioning of our IVF treatment cycles. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing all aspects of IVF treatment cycles, including ICSI
  • Proficiently conducting oocyte/embryo vitrification, with a preference for embryo biopsy
  • Being registered with the HCPC
  • Demonstrating a minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably at a senior level
  • Effectively managing and coordinating the embryology team
  • Skilfully allocating workloads to maintain efficient operations
  • Ensuring strict adherence to all regulatory and quality standards
  • Completing internal audits and reporting to the Quality Manager
  • Completing regular KPI reports reporting to the local management team and CREATE MD
  • Delivering exemplary patient care that exceeds expectations

 

Qualifications and Experience:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a good working knowledge of the HFEA code of practice and have prior experience working in an HFEA registered centre alongside being HCPC registered.

 The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week and participate in weekend rotas as required.
