Laboratory Manager

A rare and exciting position to be the Laboratory Manager at Concept Fertility will arise shortly. Concept is an independent clinic which focuses on providing good patient care and has been growing organically and consistently since establishing its laboratory and new premises in early 2015. Currently we are operating at around 250-300 full IVF cycles per year and we predict steady continuing growth.

The Role

The Laboratory Manager’s role is to manage all matters relating to the Laboratory and will report directly to the Medical and Operations Directors. He/she will work closely with our Nurse/Quality Managers and Patient Services Manager, directly manage the other three members of the laboratory team, continue clinical excellence in the laboratory, and be responsible for laboratory matters relating to the HFEA.

Day-to-day work will include all aspects of embryology, including ICSI and vitrification, team management, developing and maintaining laboratory procedures and SOPs, KPIs and audits, training, organising rotas, supervising purchases and maintenance, patient updates and interdisciplinary meetings.

The role is full time, based on 37.5 hours work per week and will involve weekend work. It will suit an existing Laboratory Manager or an experience Deputy Laboratory Manager ready for the next career step.
