The Intensive Certificate Course in Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) is a focused, one-month advanced training program designed for embryologists who want to strengthen their technical expertise and gain true hands-on experience in micromanipulation techniques used in Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART).
Administered by the School of Allied Health Sciences, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) in collaboration with MOMSOON Academy and MOMSOON Fertility & IVF Centre, this program combines academic rigor with real laboratory exposure. The course is specifically structured to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical clinical competence.
One of the strongest features of this course is its intensive individual hands-on training. Each participant receives direct practical exposure in gamete micromanipulation using sheep oocytes and embryos, allowing them to develop technical precision and confidence in a controlled laboratory setting.
Students are also assigned a dedicated mentor for the duration of the program. This one-to-one guidance ensures continuous feedback, close supervision, and personalized skill development — a feature that participants consistently value.
The course is divided into two clear phases:
Pre-Learning (2 Weeks – Online)
Participants receive structured study materials, videos, and guided reading modules to build a strong theoretical foundation in ICSI principles, laboratory standards, and workflow.
Hands-On Training (2 Weeks – On Campus at MOMSOON Academy)
Fully supervised laboratory sessions focus on step-by-step micromanipulation training, ensuring participants gain adequate repetition and technical mastery.
The program is designed not only to teach the “how,” but also the “why” — helping participants understand workflow decisions, troubleshooting strategies, and laboratory ethics.

Training is delivered by experienced embryologists actively working in the field at MOMSOON Fertility. The teaching laboratory is equipped with advanced micromanipulation workstations, ensuring that each student receives adequate individual practice time rather than only observational exposure.
Upon successful completion of written and practical assessments conducted as per university norms, participants are awarded an official certificate from Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Bangalore, recognized under Section 3(A) of the UGC Act 1956 and accredited with NAAC ‘A+’ Grade.
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, or Veterinary Sciences, along with experience in andrology and embryology laboratory techniques.
