Kolkata, September 28^th, 2013 – A. H. IVF & Infertility Research Centre (IIRC), a global leading fertility clinic, today announced that it has concluded its 14^th Workshop "In-Vitro Fertilisation, a step forward" in its Kolkata Centre, which has brought together experts, researchers and practitioners of Obstetrics and Gynaecology with a unique experience and know-how for In-Vitro Fertilisation latest techniques.

IIRC runs these IVF workshops twice a year to apprise the medical fraternity about the treatment of infertile couples.

This year's attendance included doctors from all over the country and from abroad.

Dr Jayashree Bhattacharya said: "The sessions are to train doctors on the various treatments and the latest developments related to it."

During the last three days, these professionals undertook a hands-on programme destined to train them to perform In-Vitro Fertilisation with complete confidence, and they are briefed on the advices that are to be given to childless couples about various forms of treatment together with their pros and cons.

The IVF as a means to have children is getting popular with increased awareness among educated couples. It is gaining acceptance in India fairly well. Being run by a team of over 200 personnel, IIRC has given treatment to numerous couples till date.

Dr Jayashree Bhattacharya added: "We perform over 1,300 cases every year."

Although the treatment has gained wider acceptance, many couples are still apprehensive about it.

The well trained and well informed doctors are now equipped to satisfactorily answer all the queries from their patients.
