The success of your IVF laboratory depends critically on the quality of the conditions present during manipulation of gametes and embryos, during in vitro culture, during transfer of embryos to the patient and during storage processes.
One important aspect of this quality monitoring and assurance program consists in testing reagents, media, consumables, and materials that are being used in ART-related procedures for their possible negative influence on viability and function of human gametes and embryos. This potential ‘toxicity’ is defined as a direct or indirect effect on viability and functionality of gametes and embryos in a dose and time dependent manner.
