Hands on training in ICSI and Orientation of Clinical aspects at Advanced Fertility Centre, Bangalore, India.

The course involves theory and practical of ICSI.  Detailed knowledge regarding the inverted microscope and micromanipulator will be given along with setting of the micromanipulator, setting and aligning of the injection and holding pipettes. Dish making for ICSI, sperm immobilization, and oocyte injection will be taught practically and given hands on.  This would be a one to one hands on training, personally taught and monitored by Dr. Varsha Samson Roy.  Goal of the training is to make the candidate confident of performing the procedure of ICSI independently. 

Clinicians who are interested in having a first hand knowledge patient selection criteria, investigations, patient counseling and various ovarian stimulation protocols individualized to suit the patient’s need for the purpose of IUI / IVF / ICSI / FET will be taught by Dr. Nirmala herself.  They will also be taught transvaginal ultrasonography for the purpose of follicular monitoring.  They will be allowed to observe the procedures of ooctye retrievals and embryo transfers. 

Courses:

1. Hands on Micromanipulation Only
2. Hands on micromanipulation + clinical programming  + follicular monitoring.

Eligibility:

Course I:  BSc, M.Sc, BVSc, MVSc, MBBS, MD, MRCOG, DGO, DRCOG, Fellowship

                 in Reproductive Medicine

Course II: MBBS, MD, MRCOG, DGO, DRCOG, Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine

Course Duration:  2 weeks starting October 2012.
