An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a fertility nurse to join our newly established IVF centre in the Hertfordshire area of Elstree.  IVF London is recruiting  a fertility nurse to join a team of IVF professionals to deliver a state of the art IVF and Genetics centre in the upcoming health care hub of Borehamwood and Elstree. The centre is aiming to do around 250 cycles in the first year. The services offered will range from Ovulation Induction, IVF, ICSI, PGD, PGS, Gamete donation and egg / sperm freezing. Spread over a 6000 sq ft area the centre offers a very spacious and private feel for its patients giving a very personalised approach to clinical care. Joining the team will avail the candidate with ample of opportunities to train in ultrasound monitoring, applying to be a nurse prescriber and training for clinical procedures such as embryo transfers. Weekend rota is applicable 

Role and responsibilities:

Apart from the delivery of clinical services relevant to the running of the programme, the candidate will also be involved in maintaining a Quality management system and audit schedule for all the compliance aspects of HFEA and CQC. The candidate should be willing to train and supervise Health care assistants and nurses who join the team further along. The role will involve delivering excellence in a tailored approach of care to suit individual patients and may also include some level of history taking. There will be the need for a multi skilled approach which will revolve around assisting in theatre/ recovery, medicines management, managing compliance aspects of the regulatory requirements, phlebotomy services and patient liaison.

Experience Required:  Experience required: The post holder would be NMC registered with at least 3-4 years of previous experience of working in a fertility clinic providing all aspects of Assisted Reproductive Services. Experience with Ultrasound and follicular tracking is an advantage. Additional experience in compliance, clinical governance and quality management will be an added advantage and a focal point of the responsibility in managing a safe and high end service.
Education Required:  A Bachelors degree in nursing or an equivalent qualification. NMC registration
Salary:  45,000 per annum negotiable
