BPAS Fertility are looking to appoint a gynaecologist to take medical responsibility for our assisted conception service in London
BPAS Fertility. Evidence-based, not-for-profit, patient centred care.
This is an exciting opportunity which needs a highly motivated individual prepared to think out of the box and be comfortable with working in an innovative service model which challenges common practice.
This service has been established in response to both very limited NHS funding and the rising costs of private assisted conception treatment. BPAS fertility comprises a full assisted conception service in London and satellite units in Peterborough and Swindon where nurses/midwives carry out consultations, ultrasound scans and cycle management.
BPAS is looking for a gynaecologist with significant experience in working in an assisted conception unit, knowledge of the HFEA Code of Practice and previous experience in research and teaching. They will be on the General Medical Council’s Specialist Register.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the standard of care and availability of expertise. They will assess and provide advice on the management of patients with medical or other conditions which may affect their treatment. They will participate with clinical audit activities and actively promote a culture of continuous improvement. They will join a team of highly skilled and motivated nurses, midwives, doctors, embryologists, healthcare assistants, administrators and counsellors to collaboratively provide excellent not-for-profit, patient-centred, evidence-based fertility treatment. There will be opportunities to participate in research projects and in-service development.
