  • To study the phenotypic characteristics of adipose tissue resident macrophages in diabetic patients
  • To study the defects in insulin signaling pathways in the adipocytes of the diabetic patients

 

 

  1. Projects at ACTREC under the guidance of Dr. Shilpee Dutt (Assistant Professor, Principal Investigator/ SO'E', Tata Memorial Centre/ACTREC, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai).

Project Details:

  • To study the differential protein pattern in therapy resistant glioblastoma cells by two dimensional gel electrophoresis and Mass spectrometry.
  • To study the contribution of DNA damage repair pathways- Non Homologous End Joining and Homologous Recombination in radioresistant Glioblastoma multiforme.
  • DNA damage repair pathways and epigenetic studies in chemoresistant leukemic cells.
  • Understanding syncytium formation in radioresistant glioblastoma cells

Project Details: One year project under the guidance of Dr. Samidha Pawaskar (Head-Dept of Biochemistry, K. J. Somaiya College of Science and Commerce, Mumbai).

Project Details:

Invitro Study of Hydroxyl Radical scavenging activity of some selected medicinal plants. The main objective of the project was to estimate and compare the hydroxyl radical neutralizing activity of methanol extracts of Annona squamosa, Azadirachta indica (Neem), Ficus racemosa (Audumbar), Mimosa pudica (Touch-me-not), and Triticum aestiva (Wheatgrass). The estimation was carried out by Modified Halliwell method.
