Here at HealthPlus Fertility Center Abu Dhabi, we are seeking a highly organized and motivated embryologist. The successful candidate will work within a successful organization based in one of the world’s most renowned medical areas known globally for excellent care and service. The role The embryologist will work as an integral part of the Clinic’s laboratory team, reporting directly to the IVF Lab Director. The successful candidate will have previous experience as a Clinical Embryologist and be able to work independently in the lab. The Clinic is committed to providing the very best patient care and being able to achieve this depends heavily on the standard set in the laboratory. Hence, you will be data-driven and results-oriented. Key Responsibilities: • To perform all clinical embryology and andrology duties following competency assessment. • To participate in laboratory maintenance tasks and assist in validation within the laboratory. • To assist in the management and maintenance of laboratory equipment. • To oversee the procurement of laboratory consumables. • To adhere to all standard operating procedures. • To inform patients of treatment options, and treatment outcomes and discuss the implications. • To meet laboratory Key Performance Indexes for all critical laboratory tasks. • To participate in internal and external QA to achieve a satisfactory level of performance. Duties All routine clinical embryology work, including egg collections, IVF, ICSI, embryo assessments, oocyte and embryo cryopreservation by vitrification, embryo biopsy (Day 5) All routine andrology work, including semen assessments, semen preparation and semen cryopreservation. All administrative duties associated with the laboratory. Quality management duties associated with the laboratory. Evidence of your previous individual lab KPIs will be required. Experience Required:  A minimum of five (5) years’ clinical embryology experience post qualification in a recognized IVF Clinic is required (UK experience is preferable) A certified ICSI practitioner is essential. A certified biopsy practitioner and Time-lapse microscopy experience are preferable.
Education Required:  Bachelor’s degree in Medical laboratory science/Biology/ Medical science with an emphasis in Human Embryology from a recognized university is essential (UAE Embryology License requirement). A higher degree in reproductive science is preferable.
