We are looking for a Bank Fertility Nurse to join our nursing team during the weekends (14hrs per week, Saturday and Sunday).  You will be required to be proactive and maintain high standards throughout all points in the patient journey.  Our nurses help to educate patients and their loved ones in all areas affecting fertility, starting from conception issues to fertility treatments. You will be a Registered General Nurse with basic knowledge and understanding in the Fertility field.  Your adherence to NMC code of professional conduct ensuring professional practice and knowledge of the legal framework HFEA.

Specific job duties include:

  • Working with team to ensure exceptional patient care
  • Scheduling of patient treatment cycles
  • Leasing with consultants to prepare treatment protocols
  • Arranging prescriptions
  • Instructing and supporting patients through the treatment cycle, this requires good communication and counselling skills
  • Performing pre-op assessments for patients undergoing egg collections
  • Phlebotomy including basic observations and establishing a positive first impression
  • IT literate with excellent telephone and communication skills
  • Comply with all company protocols regarding documentation and confidentiality
  • Comply with all company protocols regarding health and safety / infection control and medicine management
  • Providing patient care for couples undergoing treatment with donor gametes as well as individual treatment
  • Assist in minor procedure suite if required
  • All mandatory training to be completed as per company policy
  • Working closely within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience would be preferable but training may be offered:
  • Ultra sound scanning for  embryo transfers
  • Intrauterine insemination 
  • Providing patient care for couples undergoing treatment with donor gametes as well as individual treatment
Experience Required:  Registered General Nurse with basic knowledge and understanding in the Fertility field
Education Required:  Registered General Nurse
Salary:  Negotiable depending on experience
