Fertility Associates (FA) has been New Zealand’s leading fertility provider for 34 years, with five clinics throughout New Zealand performing about 70% of the ART in the country. FA is also the majority partner of Sunfert, with four clinics in Malaysia. Together, we employ over 50 embryologists and perform 4500 egg collections annually. We have a strong culture of quality, including certification to the RTAC Code of Practice and ISO 9001:2015, and achieve excellent pregnancy rates.
The role and responsibilities
This a new position that reports to the Group Scientific Director. Responsibilities include assisting the Scientific Director to further improve pregnancy rates and services through introducing new methods and technology, running projects, troubleshooting, and collaborative research with a practical endpoint. The role includes some travel to FA’s and Sunfert’s clinics, as well as some bench work.
FA involves its senior science team in the strategic development of the company, and you’ll join its Medical Directors, Science Director, Nursing Director and CEO in deciding the company’s clinical policies and protocols. There are excellent opportunities for collaborative research (all our clinics are in university cities), and our science team actively publishes its work. As a large, well-established, and growing company, we anticipate continuing opportunities for professional growth and career development, including progression to Group Scientific Director.
Qualifications and experience
You’ll have a PhD in a field relevant to ART, expert bench skills, a contemporary knowledge of human embryology and andrology, excellent analytical skills, and leadership experience. You will need to be eligible to be registered as a Clinical Embryologist in New Zealand.
Remuneration and benefits
