22. Purity of incubator gas

16 January 2015 by Alison Jones

Does anyone know what purity of gas IVF units should have in the incubators?

Ours is currently CP grade which is chemically pure at 99.9992%. Is this necessary or could it be 99.998% instead?

25. Looking for antivibration table and isolator platform

06 December 2014 by Kevin D. Dippert

I own a horse reproduction clinic and am in the process of setting up an ICSI room inside my lab.  I was wondering if anyone could guide me as to any used (preferable) or new anti-vibration tables or microscope isolatory platforms for sale.  The table I am looking for is approximately 36 inches wide.  Although not immediately, eventually I would be looking for a laminar flow hood as well, 36 to 48 inches wide, self standing.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks,

28. calcium ionophore powder shelf life

18 October 2014 by SAI

HI GUYS,

HAS ANYBODY USED 4-BROMO CALCIUM IONOPHORE (A 23187) (SIGMA B-7272) FOR ASSISTED OOCYTE ACTIVATION (AOA)?

WE DID ASSISTED OOCYTE ACTIVATION WITH CALCIUM INOPHORE FOR ONE OF OUR PATIENT WHO WAS GLOBOZOOSPERMIC (100% ROUND HEAD SPERMS, NO ACROSOME).

WE GOT 50 % FERTILISATION WITH TOP QUALITY EMBRYOS ON DAY 2 (4-CELL GRADE A). WHICH WERE TRANSFERRED AND THE PATIENT CONCEIVED.

MY QUESTION IS ABOUT THE SHELF LIFE OF CALCIUM IONOPHORE.

AS THERE IS NO EXPIRY DATE ON THE CALCIUM IONOPHORE POWDER VIAL, HOW LONG CAN ONE USE IT?

NOTE : THE POWDER IS DILUTED WITH CULTURE MEDIUM TO ACHIVED A CONCENTRATION OF 5UM, AS THE PROTOCOL SAYS THAT WE SHOULD KEEP THE INJECTED EGGS IN 5uM 4-BROMO CALCIUM IONOPHORE FOR ASSISTED OOCYTE ACTIVATION.

kINDLY PROVIDE SOME INFORMATION REGARDING THIS, IF ANYONE HAS USED IT.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

Hello Everyone,

Can anyone put light on usage of Gypsum & Wooden doors in IVF lab for creating partitions. Are both, gypsum & wood, hygienic for IVF atmosphere or not? What sort of paints or matts should be used for coating the gypsum or wooden doors in IVF labs?
